Hydraulic Internal Gear Pump

Internal gear pumps, as shown in Figures 1, have an internal gear driven by the input shaft and an external gear which rotates around its own centre and driven by the internal gear. By means of the separator element, both gears transmit fluid from the pump inlet to the outlet. This pump creates a low noise level that favours it for some applications although its pressure capability is about the same as that of the external gear pump.
